In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers across various routes, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all. Whether driving students, seniors, or the general public, your dedication to safety, excellent communication skills, and friendly demeanor will make a lasting impact. Duties Safely operate buses for school, paratransit, or community transportation services in accordance with traffic laws and company policies Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical readiness Communicate clearly with passengers, providing information about routes, stops, and safety procedures Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, including children, seniors, or individuals with disabilities Manage behavior and ensure passenger safety through effective behavior management techniques Maintain accurate records of trips, passenger counts, and incident reports as required Collaborate with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and address any route changes or issues Experience Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving roles, including school bus driving or paratransit services Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues Experience working with children or seniors, demonstrating patience and excellent childcare or senior care skills Familiarity with behavior management strategies to ensure passenger safety and comfort Knowledge of local traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for safe driving Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference every day!
