Activities Assistant/Bus Driver

Silverpoint Senior Living is looking for a Full-Time Activity Assistant/Driver for The Pearl Senior Living community to assist in activities in the community. If you enjoy creating joy and bringing energy to the lives of our beloved seniors, we are looking for you. •Full-time Position•

Essential Duties:

Meets and greets each resident daily! Encourages residents to participate in Life Enrichment programs with an upbeat, helpful, and positive attitude. Organizes, coordinates, and accompanies residents on special outings, as necessary. Ensures all Life Enrichment areas are maintained in a clean, functional, and orderly fashion. Drives the community van as needed. Takes photographs, ensures all residents, family/friends, and staff members have completed a Video and Photo release, maintains the release list, and submits weekly for social media page(s) or website. Serves as an example to all employees in the community of the Life Enrichment Values commitment to each resident. Advocates for Resident Rights at all times.

Requirements:

A college background is preferred, however, high school diploma or equivalent with related work experience is the minimum. Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing, follow instructions and direction, interact with residents of varying backgrounds and abilities, remain cheerful and calm under stressful situations, and work as a team member. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, kneel, bend, climb stairs, hear, and see, to assist residents. Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and exert up to 25 lbs. of force and frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings. Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Must have strong customer service and hospitality skills as it relates to both residents and their families.
