Responsibilities Safely operate buses and other commercial vehicles on scheduled routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical readiness Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing support to children, seniors, or individuals with disabilities as needed Communicate clearly with passengers using effective language skills; address questions or concerns professionally Manage behavior on board through positive behavior management techniques to maintain a safe environment Maintain accurate logs of trips, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during transit Follow all safety protocols and report any vehicle issues or emergencies promptly to supervisors Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not required for all roles Proven experience in bus driving, including school bus driving or paratransit services Strong communication skills; ability to interact effectively with diverse passenger groups including children and seniors Mechanical knowledge of vehicle operation and basic troubleshooting skills Ability to work flexible hours and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently Multilingual abilities or bilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse communities Experience in childcare, teaching, or behavior management is advantageous for roles involving young passengers or special needs individuals Join us in making a difference by providing safe, reliable transportation that connects people to their communities!
