This role provides safe, timely transportation of students and other passengers, including ministry groups, athletic teams, and event participants, between campuses and to school- or church-sponsored activities. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a daily impact by creating a safe, consistent, and encouraging environment for those being served, while supporting the broader mission of Cedar Park.
CDL Training Opportunity:
Cedar Park offers CDL training for individuals interested in becoming qualified drivers. Training costs are covered; however, time spent in training is unpaid. Participation in training does not guarantee employment. Employment as a driver is contingent upon successful completion of the training program, acquisition of a CDL with required endorsements, and obtaining a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate. Cedar Park Christian Schools is a ministry of Cedar Park Church. Cedar Park Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God. This role supports both Cedar Park Christian Schools and Cedar Park Church ministries. Drivers may transport students, youth groups, adult participants, and ministry teams for school days, field trips, athletic events, retreats, and other church-related activities. This role contributes to a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered experience for all passengers.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Collaborate with other ministry members to reach objectives for programs. Attend ministry training meetings, workshops, programs, seminars, and/or conferences. Confer with other ministry members, congregants, and school families to encourage support of or participation in ministry activities. Provide top-notch customer service to internal and external customers. Transportation & Safety Safely transport students and other passengers for school and church-related activities. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Operate buses in compliance with all state laws, safety standards, and organizational policies. Maintain order and appropriate behavior among passengers to ensure safety. Follow all boarding, unloading, and crossing safety procedures. Respond appropriately to emergencies, delays, or incidents and report them promptly. Operations & Maintenance Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles. Monitor fuel levels and report maintenance needs or malfunctions. Maintain accurate logs, route records, and required transportation reports. Serve as a courier between campuses when needed. Passenger & Community Interaction Build positive, respectful relationships with students, families, and other passengers. Monitor and report behavior concerns to appropriate leadership. Communicate professionally with staff, parents, and ministry participants. Perform other duties as assigned.LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities but is responsible for the safety and conduct of passengers while in transit.WORKING CONDITIONS
Primarily operates within a bus or transportation vehicle Extended periods of sitting, with occasional physical activity Exposure to varying traffic, road, and weather conditionsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience working with children, youth, or groups preferredQUALIFICATIONS
Must be 25 years of age or older (insurance requirement) Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass background check Must have or be willing to obtain: Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements Medical Examiner's Certificate First Aid certificationEMPLOYMENT STATUS & SCHEDULING
