This position involves transporting students and staff for daily routes, field trips, athletic events, and other school-related activities.

ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a 48-passenger school bus in compliance with all traffic laws and school policiesConduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspectionsEnsure safe loading, unloading, and supervision of studentsMaintain a clean, safe, and orderly bus environmentFollow assigned routes and schedules, adjusting for traffic or weather as neededComplete required logs and reportsCommunicate professionally with school staff, students, and familiesRequirementsMeet all state and federal legal requirements to operate a school bus transporting K12 studentsHold the appropriate Commercial Drivers License (CDL) as required by law, with passenger and school bus endorsementsSatisfy all medical, safety, and insurance eligibility requirementsReliable, punctual, and professionalMaintain a clean driving recordPass background check, fingerprinting, and drug/alcohol screeningPrevious school bus or large passenger vehicle experienceStrong commitment to student safetyComfortable working with K-12 school-aged childrenPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods while drivingAbility to assist students as needed during boarding and unloadingAbility to perform vehicle safety checks and physically conduct safety responses as neededScheduleHours may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends, depending on school needs and eventsStaff BenefitCurrent staff applying for the bus position, will be provided the opportunity for MCA paid training to acquire a CDL. recblid bd9crbglb02nqsei8d2sdyis2bilor Not Specified
