Tri-County Dental Overview For over 20 years, Tri-County Dental has provided compassionate, high-quality care to children, teens, adults, and veterans across the Fox Valley region of Wisconsin. Through our mobile dental unit, we deliver preventive and restorative services directly to schools, community organizations, and partner sites, serving thousands of patients each year. Our mission is to provide care in an atmosphere of kindness, compassion, and respect while expanding access where it is needed most. About the Role Tri-County Dental is seeking a dependable, safety-focused, and mission-driven CDL Driver to support the operation of our Mobile Dental Clinic throughout Northeast Wisconsin. This position plays a vital role in helping children, families, and underserved populations access dental care directly within schools and community settings. In this role, you will: Make a meaningful impact in our community Work independently while remaining part of a supportive team Have no passenger transportation responsibilities Enjoy a predictable weekday schedule with no nights or weekends Experience an employee-friendly atmosphere Hours This is a part-time, salaried, non-exempt position with variable hours averaging approximately 25 hours per week. The position is typically scheduled Monday through Friday during the school year and Monday through Thursday during the summer months. Weekday and on-call hours involve drop off and pick up of Mobile Clinic and generally range between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, depending on programming needs and site locations. Occasional extended hours or work outside normal business hours may be required to support operational and transportation needs.
Compensation Annual Salary:
$40,000.00 Qualifications Hold a valid Wisconsin Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with any endorsements required to operate the Mobile Dental Clinic vehicle safely and legally Have a minimum of three (3) years of CDL driving experience Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and annual physical exam Complete required driver orientation and training Maintain a valid DOT medical examiner's certificate and all qualifications required to operate a commercial vehicle under applicable federal and state regulations Provide written consent for initial and ongoing MVR reviews Successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check in accordance with TCD's policy Maintain a safe driving record acceptable to the organization's insurance carrier Meet all requirements outlined in the Driver Safety and Vehicle Use Policy Demonstrate the ability to safely operate a large vehicle Be comfortable driving in a variety of weather and road conditions Ability to create and navigate routes safely using maps, GPS systems, and route planning tools Key Responsibilities Safely operate the Mobile Clinic to and from scheduled locations Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Determine safe and efficient routes to each location Ensure all operational guidelines are followed at the beginning and end of each site visit Follow all traffic laws, DOT requirements, and clinic checklists and safety policies Maintain, clean, and organize all vehicles and their environment Responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repairs of all TCD vehicles, including documentation of all receipts and expenses incurred Communicate with clinic staff regarding arrival times, delays, or issues Supporting the clinical team with supplies as needed Secure the vehicle at the end of each shift (lock doors, power down as needed) Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and respectful interaction with children, families, staff, school personnel, and community members Other duties as assigned Safety Expectations Prioritize the safety of patients, staff, volunteers, and the community at all times Avoid distractions while driving, including texting, eating, or drinking Never operate the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing medications Immediately report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle concerns Follow all Driver Safety and Vehicle Use Policy requirements Physical Demands Ability to enter/exit the vehicle safely Ability to sit for extended periods while driving Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and load/unload dental equipment and supplies Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position
