This role is perfect for motivated individuals who enjoy driving, delivering, and providing excellent customer service. As a courier driver paid per stop, you'll be responsible for safely transporting packages to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining a professional image on every route. Your efficiency and reliability will directly impact your success and earnings. We are seeking independent courier drivers or contractor teams with their own fuel-efficient vehicle that is organized and dependable. Most deliveries involve small packages (typically Less than 10 lbs.). Routes assigned daily with stable weekly schedule. Most drivers complete about a 80 - 100 stops a day. Packages are small and easy to handle. Driver must own a smartphone (Android or iPhone). No experience? No problem. Training provided. Duties Looking for someone in the Birmingham, AL area Safely operate a vehicle to deliver packages across designated routes Load and unload shipments efficiently Navigate route driving using GPS and plan optimal delivery sequences for maximum productivity Load packages securely in the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of heavy lifting tasks Deliver items directly to customers' doors, verifying recipient details and obtaining signatures when required Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and completion records Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with knowledge of route driving best practices Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients during deliveries Warehouse experience including load & unload procedures, heavy lifting, and moving goods safely Ability to operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks with manual transmission if applicable Excellent driving record and knowledge of traffic laws to ensure safe transportation at all times Physical stamina for manual lifting, moving heavy packages, and extended periods of driving Apply directly through Indeed or contact us for immediate consideration
