Job Description:
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm Responsible for performing daily assigned routes and on-demand duties to ensure accurate and timely delivery of mail, linens, documents, packages, biological specimens, medical supplies, equipment, and patient records. This position maintains daily electronic and hard copy vehicle logs of each stop in accordance with department performance measures. Additionally, this role actively participates in providing outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships. In addition, this position is available for various and flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. This role contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation services. Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures during transportation. Communicates effectively with relevant departments to coordinate transportation needs. Operates transportation vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and organizational policies. Maintains cleanliness and proper functioning of transportation vehicles. Reports any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly. Utilizes tracking systems and devices to monitor the status of transported items. Follows proper procedures for the transport of hazardous materials. Provides excellent customer service during interactions with staff and clients. Completes required training and certifications for safe transportation practices. Transports biological specimens, medical supplies, equipment, reports, patient care records, pharmacy preparations, and related paperwork according to defined schedules or urgent requests. Leverages technology to communicate with internal dispatch command center Ensures the security and proper handling of all transported items. Maintains accurate and timely delivery records for all transported items. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively and the ability to work with people of various backgrounds. [Required] Self-starter that can budget his/her time and activities as needed to accomplish the task at hand. [Required] Ability to identify, sort items and organize the cargo to deliver it to the right place at the right time. [Required] Ability to read and speak English. [Required] Ability to be courteous, follow a schedule and instructions. [Required] Ability to use scanning device to help log and track all deliveries. [Required] Ability to use good judgment in all emergencies. [Required] Ability to drive all vehicles from sedan to small box trucks. [Required] Knowledge of Orlando and surrounding areas. [Preferred]
Education:
High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Work Experience:
Previous courier experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
Driver's License (DL) [Required] Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack certification (FKLT) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
