Commissary Clerk

Job Details:

• $17.00 per hour
• Owensboro Kentucky- will not require travel
• Flexibility in hours may be required based upon needs of the facility
• Bi-weekly pay

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic math and counting skills required
• MUST be able to pass NCIC background check for security clearance in a correctional facility and maintain said clearance
• Must be able to pass drug screen
• Must be able to frequently push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs
• Must be able to tolerate temperature extremes
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office (preferred)

Job Duties:

• Correct identification of individual for delivery of pre-packaged food and non-food orders
• Correct identification of individual for delivery of cooked foods and shelf stable orders
• Fill hot food and shelf stable food orders for delivery
• If an issue is presented- must be able to verify shortage or damage for return ticket
• Responsible for distribution of all orders regarding housing status and allowed items
• Responsible for all orders until they are distributed to the correct individual
• Maintain records of delivery (signed verification sheets)
• Assist with the ordering and re-stocking of inventory
• Load and unload inventory from pallets
• Help maintain inventory using FIFO rotation method
• Once a week fill and deliver Indigent Clothing orders
• Adhere to all policy and procedures for both Kellwell Commissary and the Detention Center you are assigned regarding Professional Visitors
• Maintain a clean working environment, disposing of all trash generated during duties
• Cleaning and Sanitizing of equipment at the end of the shift
• Complete all training for both Kellwell Commissary and the Detention Center to which you are assigned
