Monday to Friday; shift times vary (6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, or 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM); includes a 1-hour break. Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Medical Courier to become a valuable member of our team based in Baton Rouge, LA. The medical courier will work with the operations team to pick up client samples in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. Routine daily tasks include supply deliveries, sample pick-ups, maintaining specimen integrity, logging of samples and communication of delays. Couriers will be provided courier cars and gas by Orion Laboratories and additional supplies needed to complete deliveries. Pay and Benefits 15.75 per hour base pay Medical, dental, and life insurance 401(k) plan with a 5 percent employer match Paid time off (PTO) and holidays Key Responsibilities Perform routine specimen pick-up and delivery to laboratory according to established standards, procedures, and guidelines Check warehouse at the beginning of shift for supply deliveries to designated locations Maintain company standards of customer service, timeliness, and attention to detail Abide by all traffic ordinances, appropriate rates of speed, and defensive driving tactics Follow CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in the respective policies Ensure proper functions of the courier car, including routine passes to verify no damage to body or tires of the car. Report any problems or new issues to Manager Report any performance, compliance, or staffing-related issues to supervisors Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Preferred Qualifications Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset Ability to de-escalate situations and exercise sound judgment Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work overtime as needed Strong written and verbal communication skills High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Clean driving record Orion Laboratories is seeking a full-time Medical Courier in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role is responsible for the safe, timely pick-up and delivery of specimens and supplies while maintaining specimen integrity and providing excellent client service.
