Laboratory Assistant I/Glasswasher (Part-time) - Neurosurgery Washington University in St Louis - 3.9 St. Louis, MO Job Details Part-time $15.25 - $20.29 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Steam sterilization Cleaning detergents Dishwashing Mail distribution High school diploma or GED Mail management Mail processing Clean workspace maintenance Entry level Under 1 year Full Job Description Scheduled Hours 10 Position Summary The Li lab is broadly interested in understanding the epigenomic and transcriptional regulation at single-cell resolution, by combining the power of computational models/tools and high-throughput (epi)genomics approaches, particularly in brain tumors and neuropsychiatric disorders. Responsible for autoclaving and washing glassware used by laboratories.
Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Collects glassware from the laboratories, washing all glassware and/or plasticware in the washer. Some containers, spatulas and other small items have to be washed by hand. Returns clean glassware to the laboratories. Picks up and delivers Department mail from post office and distributes to employee's mailboxes. Autoclaves bottles, cylinders, pipettes tips, etc. The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
