Duties Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles with manual transmissions to deliver products across designated routes. Load and unload merchandise using equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts, or by manual lifting, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Navigate route driving efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their deliveries, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction. Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and complete all necessary paperwork accurately. Maintain cleanliness and routine inspection of delivery vehicles to ensure safety and compliance standards are met. Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during routes. Requirements Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations involving heavy lifting and moving goods. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, moving furniture or boxes, often requiring manual effort over extended periods. Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other loading tools is a plus. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Knowledge of route planning and driving safety protocols essential for efficient deliveries. Prior experience with delivery driver roles involving load & unload procedures is highly desirable.
