Job Description

We specialize in managing vascular diseases, musculoskeletal pain, and diabetes, with a focus on providing comprehensive and compassionate care. Position Summary The In-House Courier & Supply Coordinator is responsible for the safe, timely transport of laboratory specimens, delivery of laboratory supplies to client locations, and oversight of the laboratory's supply storage area. This role is critical to maintaining specimen integrity, ensuring uninterrupted laboratory operations, and supporting client service excellence. Key Responsibilities 1. Specimen Transport & Handling
  • Pick up and deliver specimens between client sites, physician offices, and the laboratory
  • Ensure specimens are transported in compliance with: o OSHA standards o HIPAA regulations o CLIA requirements
  • Maintain proper temperature conditions (ambient, refrigerated, frozen) during transport
  • Accurately verify specimen labeling, requisitions, and chain-of-custody documentation
  • Immediately report compromised specimens or transport issues 2. Supply Delivery & Client Support
  • Deliver laboratory supplies to client locations, including: o Blood collection tubes o Specimen containers o Requisition forms o PPE and shipping materials
  • Maintain communication with clients regarding supply needs
  • Assist in resolving supply-related issues to support client satisfaction 3. Inventory & Supply Room Management
  • Organize and maintain laboratory supply storage room
  • Monitor inventory levels and track supply usage
  • Rotate stock to ensure proper use of expiration dates (FIFO method)
  • Receive, inspect, and stock incoming supply shipments
  • Maintain cleanliness and compliance of storage areas
  • Assist in generating supply reorder requests 4. Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate transport logs and delivery records
  • Ensure all documentation complies with laboratory policies and regulatory standards
  • Participate in audits and inspections related to transport and inventory procedures 5. Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance
  • Ensure personal vehicle is clean, functional, and properly maintained
  • Monitor fuel, mileage, and routine maintenance needs
  • Ensure proper handling and care of coolers and transport equipment 6. Safety & Quality Assurance
  • Follow laboratory safety protocols at all times
  • Use proper PPE during specimen handling and transport
  • Participate in required training (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, biohazard handling)
  • Support quality assurance initiatives related to specimen transport and inventory Qualifications Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required Experience
  • Prior courier, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience in a laboratory or medical environment is a plus Skills & Competencies

  • Exposure to biological specimens and hazardous materials (with proper PPE) Schedule

  • May require early mornings, evenings, or weekend routes Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation (if applicable)
  • Background check may be required
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
