Duties Pick up and deliver medical specimens, medications, equipment, and other healthcare-related items according to scheduled routes or on-demand requests. Ensure all transported items are handled in compliance with applicable safety standards, including temperature control, biohazard precautions, and chain-of-custody procedures. Verify documentation and maintain accurate delivery logs, tracking information, and specimen integrity forms. Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive patient and medical information. Operate personal vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and organizational policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, laboratory personnel, and healthcare staff to coordinate pickups and deliveries. Inspect and maintain delivery equipment and vehicles, reporting any issues promptly. Use routing and communication technology (e.g., GPS, mobile apps) to optimize delivery efficiency. Provide excellent customer service and represent the organization professionally. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. You must reside within 30-45 minutes from Vestal, NY 13850 Previous courier, delivery, or medical transport experience preferred but not always required. Ability to lift and carry packages (commonly 20-50 lbs, depending on employer requirements). Strong time-management skills and reliability. Basic knowledge of medical terminology or willingness to learn. Comfort working with biohazard materials and following safety protocols. Strong communication and organizational skills.
