ABOUT MEALS ON WHEELS
Our mission is to provide nutritious meals, wellness checks, and caring contact to elderly or disabled homebound in Tulsa and the surrounding areas. We provide over 300,000 meals per year to those in need, allowing homebound individuals to remain safe and independent in their own homes. JOB SUMMARY
The Delivery Services Team Member will deliver meals to clients, and will maintain positive relationships with clients, staff and volunteer team members. The team member will also serve a vulnerable population of seniors who have recently been discharged from a hospital setting. Providing regularly scheduled meal deliveries and performing frequent check-ins, this position is responsible for monitoring, assessing, and identifying notable changes or concerns in relation to client well-being and safety. The Delivery Services Team Member will maintain a professional attitude and appearance while working to identify, document, and report back any notable client conditions or concerns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Obtain route code, passkey, and instructions for the day. Perform packing duties to ensure orderly meal delivery. Log into and use the mobile meals application. Load and unload orders and supplies based on route assignments. Deliver meals to clients in a professional and friendly manner. Report absences, scheduling issues, or undelivered meals to main office. Assess overall well-being of clients and document required information as well as client requests or concerns. Greet volunteer packers and volunteer drivers. Provide route code, passkey, and instructions for the day. Assist with logging into and using the mobile meals application. Act as liaison between distribution sites and main office. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and fuel levels. Report maintenance needs to direct supervisor. Abide by HIPPA regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license & clean driving record Smartphone and ability to use mobile applications Ability to lift 50 or more pounds Ability to sit and stand repeatedly or for periods of time longer than one hour Must submit to OSBI background check Must utilize company issued uniforms that are to be clean and wrinkle free, with closed toe shoes. Hair, mustache, and beard are to be neat and groomed, with long hair tied back and away from the face. First Aid and CPR certification. Training for these certifications is provided on the job.
HELPFUL EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Driving and delivery experience. Volunteerism or volunteer management. Experience working with the elderly or other vulnerable populations Knowledge of medical terminology and practices

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is a part-time, non-exempt position with typical working hours of Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. This position involves frequent sitting, driving, standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping, and squatting. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The role routinely uses vehicles and office equipment such as computers, smartphones, and mobile and desktop applications. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear.
