This position offers flexibility and independence, allowing you to manage your own schedule while providing essential services to healthcare providers and laboratories. Your dedication will help maintain the integrity of medical deliveries, supporting patient care and operational efficiency across the healthcare network. Responsibilities Safely load, unload, and transport medical specimens, equipment, and documents using box trucks or similar vehicles. Follow prescribed routes to ensure prompt delivery within designated timeframes. Verify delivery details and obtain signatures or electronic confirmation upon receipt. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and route logs for compliance purposes. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels, tires, and safety equipment to ensure optimal operation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers or healthcare facilities regarding delivery status or any issues encountered. Handle heavy lifting and moving tasks safely, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience as a courier or delivery driver, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is highly valued. Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmission preferred. Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with healthcare staff and clients. Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform physical tasks related to moving and loading supplies. Familiarity with warehouse procedures, including load & unload processes and inventory handling. Knowledge of route driving best practices to optimize efficiency and punctuality.
