Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading items. Duties Load and unload packages from delivery vehicles, ensuring safe handling of items. Operate a van or delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations efficiently. Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients. Utilize warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts as needed for loading and unloading tasks. Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and customer signatures. Assist with inventory management in the warehouse when not on delivery routes. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices. Experience in a warehouse environment is a plus, particularly with loading and unloading procedures. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is desirable. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor when interacting with clients. Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous but not mandatory. Must be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting tasks as part of daily responsibilities. A proactive attitude toward problem-solving and time management is essential for success in this role.
