Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and products to various locations. This is a vital role in ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to our customers.Duties:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle (Large van or box truck or semi) to deliver goods and products
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle
- Use a forklift or other equipment as needed to assist with loading/unloading
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any issues or discrepancies
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to management
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
- Knowledge of local roads and routes
- Ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle
- Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload goods as required
Skills:
- Commercial driving experience
- Delivery driver experience (This is very different from Instacart or Grubhub or similar)
- Route driving knowledge
- Courier skills
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles (Large vans, trucks, etc.)
- Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
- Forklift operation (if required)
