Delivery Driver

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and products to various locations. This is a vital role in ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to our customers.

Duties:

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle (Large van or box truck or semi) to deliver goods and products
• Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries
• Load and unload goods from the vehicle
• Use a forklift or other equipment as needed to assist with loading/unloading
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any issues or discrepancies
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to management

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
• Knowledge of local roads and routes
• Ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle
• Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload goods as required

Skills:

• Commercial driving experience
• Delivery driver experience (This is very different from Instacart or Grubhub or similar)
• Route driving knowledge
• Courier skills
• Ability to drive various types of vehicles (Large vans, trucks, etc.)
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
• Forklift operation (if required)
