Gas/ice cream attendant

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Gas and Ice cream Attendant, where you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service at our retail gas station. Your energetic and friendly approach will ensure customers feel welcomed and confident in their experience. You'll be responsible for fueling vehicles efficiently, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and assisting customers with purchasing ice cream. Duties Operate fuel pumps accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper dispensing of gasoline and other products Assist customers with fueling their vehicles, answering questions about products and services Handle cash register transactions using POS systems, including cash handling and credit card processing Serve customers from our selection of ice cream flavors Maintain cleanliness of the fueling area, including pumps, ice cream freezers, counters, and surrounding environment Stock shelves with retail items, stock ice cream freezer, and ensure inventory levels are maintained Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering product demos when applicable, and ensuring a positive experience Requirements Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math for transactions Familiarity with grocery store operations or retail merchandising is advantageous Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking and cleaning Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their sales skills in a retail environment while delivering outstanding service.
