Flightline Service Technician

Flightline Service Technician Part-time - 20 - 30 hours per week Join our team and work in a fast-paced professional aviation service environment in the new terminal at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport. Bent Wing Flight Services is the airport's Fixed Base Operator (FBO) and provides aircraft services to general aviation aircraft, crews and passengers. Duties include fueling aircraft, as well as parking and towing aircraft. Additional duties include greeting pilots, passengers & crew, assisting with luggage, providing shuttle service, and providing lavatory, water and GPU service as requested.

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent Prior experience in general aviation preferred Minimum 18 years of age Excellent customer relations skills Must possess valid state driver's license Flexibility to work various days, evenings and weekends, as needed Proficient with computer software including Word, Internet and email

Working Conditions:

Ability to perform line service operations outside and in variable weather conditions Ability to work in a high noise environment with hearing protection Ability to work in environmental conditions including jet engine fumes and/or dust

Physical Requirements:

Requires moderate to heavy lifting up to 75 lbs, frequent walking, stretching, bending and climbing Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time Ability to hear and speak clearly, including while utilizing telecommunication devices such as radios, cell phones, and air-to-ground communications Ability to use ladders and other high lift equipment Ability to wear safety equipment including gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, reflective vests, and other personal protective equipment as necessary
