Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Gas Station General Manager to lead our retail operation with energy, enthusiasm, and strategic insight. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage staff, ensure excellent customer service, and drive sales growth. Your leadership will foster a positive team environment while maintaining operational excellence. Duties Lead all aspects of store management including staffing, training, and supervising team members to deliver outstanding customer service. Oversee inventory management, including stock purchasing, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory control to maximize sales and minimize losses. Manage cash handling procedures, POS systems, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and daily financial reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance. Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet customer demand while maintaining operational standards. Implement marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to boost sales and enhance store visibility within the community. Conduct interviews, participate in recruiting efforts, and onboard new employees with a focus on employee orientation and development. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment by supervising stocking, merchandising, and store maintenance activities. Utilize strong negotiation skills for purchasing supplies at favorable terms while managing vendor relationships effectively. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and legal requirements related to retail operations. Foster a team-oriented culture through leadership development, coaching, and ongoing training initiatives. Skills Proven management experience in retail or fuel station environments with supervisory responsibilities. Exceptional communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities preferred for diverse customer interactions. Strong organizational skills with expertise in inventory management, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling. Demonstrated ability in sales management, marketing strategies, pricing techniques, and retail math for profit optimization. Skilled in employee recruitment, interviewing techniques, training & development programs to build high-performing teams. Proficient in POS systems and retail technology tools for efficient transaction processing and inventory tracking. Excellent negotiation skills for vendor purchasing and contract negotiations; experience in merchandising is a plus. Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively through time management and organizational skills. Leadership qualities with experience in shift management, supervising staff, budgeting, and store operations oversight. Customer service-oriented mindset with phone etiquette skills that foster positive customer experiences across diverse populations.
