Job Description

Dock Attendant (Seasonal) - The Boat Loft at Holter Lake Competitive Hourly Wage + Customer Tips Looking for a summer job that gets you out of the office and onto the water? At The Boat Loft, you'll spend your days helping boaters enjoy their time on beautiful Holter Lake while earning hourly pay plus the opportunity to receive generous customer tips throughout the season. We are looking for energetic, hardworking, customer-focused Dock Attendants who enjoy working outdoors, interacting with people, and being around boats. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service. Seasonal Opportunities Available Full-Season Position (April-October) Assist with dock installation in the spring Assist with dock removal in the fall Work throughout the entire boating season Summer Position (June-August) Focus on peak-season marina and customer service operations About the Job As a Dock Attendant, you'll play a key role in helping our customers enjoy their time on the water. This is a hands-on position that combines customer service, boating, marina operations, and general property maintenance. No two days are exactly the same, and the ideal candidate is someone who enjoys variety, stays busy, and is willing to help wherever needed. Responsibilities Assist forklift operators with launching and retrieving boats Fuel customer boats before launch Assist customers arriving at the fuel dock Help customers safely dock and secure their boats Fuel boats and process fuel transactions Operate boats when needed to assist customers or move vessels around the marina Assist customers with boating questions, marina services, and local lake information Clean, inspect, and prepare rental boats Assist customers with loading and unloading coolers, gear, and equipment Keep docks, walkways, and marina facilities clean and safe Empty garbage and recycling containers Wash boats and marina equipment Perform general property maintenance and cleanup Stock marina supplies and fuel dock inventory Report maintenance and safety concerns Assist with opening and closing procedures each day Assist with marina events and special projects Help install docks in the spring and remove docks in the fall (full-season employees) What We're Looking For Positive attitude and strong work ethic Friendly, outgoing personality that enjoys working with people Ability to provide exceptional customer service Comfortable working around boats, water, and marina equipment Ability to safely operate boats or willingness to learn Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Team-oriented and willing to help wherever needed Boating experience is a plus but not required Availability to work weekends and holidays during peak season Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage Opportunity to earn excellent customer tips Spend your summer on beautiful Holter Lake Fun, fast-paced work environment Gain valuable boating and marina experience Work with a great team and meet people who love being on the water Why Work at The Boat Loft?
