Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations at our busy gas station. This role is vital in ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient store management, and smooth team coordination. The Assistant Manager will lead by example, manage staff, handle inventory, and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all customers and employees. Duties Supervise daily store operations, including cashiering, stocking, and customer service activities Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales goals and uphold high standards of service Manage inventory levels through purchasing, stock control, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities Oversee cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and payroll processing with accuracy and integrity Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions, and performance evaluations to foster a skilled team Implement marketing initiatives and promotional displays to boost sales and enhance store visibility Ensure compliance with safety protocols, store policies, and regulatory requirements at all times Requirements Proven experience in retail management or assistant management roles within a grocery store or gas station environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and develop staff effectively Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus Proficiency in inventory management, bookkeeping, cash handling, and retail math Familiarity with POS systems, purchasing processes, and store merchandising techniques Demonstrated ability to handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly Organizational skills with attention to detail in scheduling, budgeting, and administrative tasks Experience with marketing strategies and promotional planning is desirable Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Join us as an Assistant Manager where your energy drives success!
