Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Gas Station and Deli Associate, where you'll be at the forefront of providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. This role combines the responsibilities of managing fuel station operations with deli service, ensuring a seamless experience for every guest. You'll have the opportunity to showcase your sales skills, assist customers with their needs, and maintain a clean, organized store that encourages repeat visits. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with fueling, purchasing snacks, beverages, or deli items. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing. Stock shelves, coolers, and deli displays to ensure product availability and appealing presentation. Conduct product demos and upselling to promote featured items and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, deli area, and fuel pumps to meet safety standards. Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock and coordinating restocking efforts efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Supervise or assist with supervising team members when needed, supporting a collaborative work environment. Follow phone etiquette standards when handling inquiries or taking orders over the phone. Assist in merchandising efforts to create attractive displays that drive sales. Qualifications Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred; familiarity with grocery products is a plus. Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Experience with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy. Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members. Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team. Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, lifting moderate loads, and standing for extended periods.
