Job Description

Lone Wolf Trucking is seeking a reliable and hardworking Mechanic Helper to join our maintenance team in El Paso. You will work directly under our Shop Manager to assist with the preventive maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of our fleet of 39 trucks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn diesel mechanics and gain hands-on experience in heavy-duty fleet maintenance while growing a career in the transportation industry.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance Support:
Assist the Shop Manager and lead mechanics with daily repairs, oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Fleet Upkeep:
Help maintain shop cleanliness, organize tools, and ensure parts inventory is stocked and ready for service.
Vehicle Preparation:
Assist with pre-trip and post-trip inspection documentation and minor repairs to ensure all trucks meet DOT safety standards.
Yard & Shop Operations:
Safely operate company vehicles within the yard to move equipment as needed for repairs or staging.
Safety Compliance:
Strictly adhere to all shop safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company policies.
Requirements Motivation:
Must have a genuine desire to learn the trade and pursue a career in diesel mechanics .
Age:
Must be 23 years of age or older (required for insurance purposes).
Driver's License:
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean, safe driving record .
Work Ethic:
Strong commitment to reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift heavy parts, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
Pay:
From $13.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
