Job Description

Beverage Cart Attendant A Golf Course Beverage Cart Attendant is responsible for operating a mobile service unit to provide refreshments to golfers on the course. This role is a blend of customer service, sales, and logistics, focusing on enhancing the guest experience through proactive interaction and timely service.
Key Responsibilities On-Course Service:
Drive the beverage cart safely throughout the course, typically visiting each group of golfers every 4—5 holes.
Sales & Transactions:
Sell alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and light food items (e.g., sandwiches or hot dogs). Process payments via cash, credit, or member charges and maintain an accurate cash drawer.
Inventory Management:
Stock the cart with food, ice, and drinks before the shift and replenish items as needed to maintain par levels. Perform daily inventory counts and log waste or spills.
Etiquette & Safety:
Adhere to golf etiquette rules to avoid disrupting play, such as waiting for players to finish a shot before approaching.
Compliance:
Verify guests' age and monitor alcohol consumption to ensure legal and responsible service.
Maintenance:
Clean and sanitize the cart and unload the merchandise at the end of each shift, and report any mechanical issues to management.
Requirements & Qualifications Physical Demands:
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.) and lift up to 50 lbs. (e.g., cases of water, beer or ice).
Legal Age:
Must meet state requirements for serving alcohol (often at least 18 or 21 years old).
License:
A valid driver's license is required to operate the motorized cart.
Certifications:
Many clubs require alcohol awareness (e.g., TABC, TIPS) and food safety certifications.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills, basic math for cash handling, and knowledge of the golf course layout.
Typical Work Environment Schedule:
Often includes weekends, early mornings, and holidays.
Pay Structure:
Typically involves an hourly wage plus tips, which makes customer satisfaction critical for income.
Flexibility:
