Medical Transportation Driver - Stretcher (Non-Emergency) Skyline Transport FL Brandon, FL Job Details Full-time $16 - $19 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Fuel card Company car Paid time off Qualifications Customer service English GPS Driver's License Medical transportation experience Full Job Description Position Summary Skyline Transport is seeking reliable and service-focused Medical Transportation Drivers to assist with scheduled non-emergency patient transportation throughout the Brandon/Tampa area. This role is primarily dedicated to stretcher transports, with occasional wheelchair trips as operational needs require. This is not an emergency response position — no lights, sirens, or medical treatment involved. We are looking for individuals who understand that this position is about more than transportation. Our drivers play a major role in the client experience and are expected to provide safe, respectful, and compassionate service to every passenger. Company vehicles and fuel are provided for all assigned routes. Vehicles are stored at our secured lot, and employees must have dependable transportation to/from the vehicle location each workday. CDL not required. Full-time only — no part-time openings at this time. Responsibilities Provide safe non-emergency stretcher transportation to/from appointments and facilities Complete wheelchair transports when assigned Properly load, secure, and unload patients/equipment during transport Maintain a calm, professional, and courteous demeanor with clients and facility staff Ensure clients are transported comfortably and with dignity Comply with all company safety standards, securement protocols, and infection-control procedures Utilize GPS, tablet/iPad, and dispatch software to manage trip assignments Communicate with dispatch throughout the day regarding trip status and updates Maintain cleanliness and readiness of assigned vehicle Adhere to all traffic regulations and internal company policies Qualifications Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or similar roles involving commercial or heavy vehicle operation Previous NEMT or medical transportation experience preferred Prior stretcher transport experience strongly preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to safely maneuver and assist with equipment/patients exceeding 100 lbs using proper lifting techniques Valid U.S. driver's license required Acceptable motor vehicle record for previous 7 years Dependable personal transportation to/from reporting location Must successfully complete background screening and drug test Must be fluent in English Minimum age of 25 Valid Social Security card required Schedule Monday through Friday Typical operating hours fall between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Full-time schedule only Routes/schedules issued one day in advance Compensation & Employment Details W-2
