Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need reliable, compassionate transportation to medical appointments and community services. In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face and safe driver guiding passengers to their destinations with professionalism and care. Your driving expertise, customer service skills, and commitment to safety will ensure a smooth, comfortable experience for every rider. This position offers an engaging opportunity to serve your community while developing valuable driving skills in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport passengers. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous support for those with mobility challenges or special needs. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, passengers, and healthcare providers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure passenger safety and compliance. Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage while prioritizing safety and efficiency. Provide stretcher transportation. Need to be flexible with scheduling. Working hours vary depending on transportation referrals and scheduling demands. Experience Previous NEMT driver experience is preferred, but not necessary. Clean driving record. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse passengers and team members. Familiarity with paratransit services or non-emergency medical transportation operations is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and assist passengers safely during daily operations. Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
