Job Description

Americ Transit, Inc is seeking experiences driver with a reliable and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to join our team in Snellville GA. The NEMT Driver will be responsible for safely transporting clients to and from medical appointments, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a clean driving record, and a dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare facilities. Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey. Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, performing routine inspections and adhering to all safety regulations. Follow established routes and schedules, while also accommodating any changes or special requests from clients or dispatch. Communicate effectively with clients, healthcare providers, and dispatch personnel to ensure smooth and efficient transportation services. Provide assistance to clients with mobility devices, such as wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches, as needed. Maintain accurate records of mileage, trip logs, and client information, adhering to company policies and procedures. Demonstrate professionalism and empathy when interacting with clients, respecting their privacy and dignity at all times. Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents during transportation, following proper protocols and procedures. Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on safety regulations, first aid procedures, and other relevant topics.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in transportation, healthcare, or customer service preferred. Familiarity with ADA regulations and requirements for transporting individuals with disabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift and maneuver mobility devices, as needed. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings, as required by company policies and regulations.

From $3,000.00 per month
