At Gem Transport, we provide safe and reliable transportation for individuals who require non-emergency medical assistance. Our team is committed to ensuring that patients arrive at their appointments comfortably and on time, allowing them to access the care they need with ease.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Drivers. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting patients to and from medical appointments, rehabilitation sessions, and other healthcare facilities in a safe and courteous manner.
Responsibilities:
Safely transport patients to and from appointments using company provided vehicles. Assist patients in boarding and exiting the vehicle when necessary, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring a smooth and efficient transportation process. Communicate effectively with management, dispatchers, and other team members to coordinate schedules and routes. Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients and their families.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. CPR/First Aid Certified Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen Background check Defensive driving and completion of various other required trainings (provided by Gem Transport) Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Previous experience in transportation or customer service preferred.
