Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver

In this energetic and customer-focused role, you will operate various types of different commercial shuttle vans to ensuring passengers reach their appointments comfortably and on time. Your dedication will help improve the quality of life for our clients by delivering exceptional service with professionalism and care. Duties Safely operate commercial shuttle vans to transport clients to medical appointments, pharmacies, and other destinations. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing courteous support and ensuring their safety. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and healthcare providers to coordinate schedules and address any special needs or concerns. Handle heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility devices or luggage while maintaining a respectful and friendly demeanor. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition reports. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a secure transportation environment. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in shuttle driving, bus driving, or van service is highly preferred. Proven delivery driver experience or commercial driving background demonstrating reliability and punctuality. Familiarity with paratransit services, heavy lifting techniques, and school bus driving is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse clients and team members. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting while maintaining a positive attitude.
