The facility features a speed climbing wall, lead cave, dedicated kids' fun climbing areas, and roughly 4,000 square feet of bouldering walls, including a center boulder with a top-out feature. Located in Bossier City, LA, Risen Rock provides a welcoming space for climbers of all levels to challenge themselves and grow in their passion for climbing. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Route Setter role based in Bossier City, LA. The Route Setter will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining climbing routes on rope and bouldering walls. Day-to-day tasks include resetting routes according to gym schedules, collaborating with the team to ensure a safe and fun climbing environment, maintaining equipment in compliance with safety regulations, and assessing the difficulty and quality of routes. The role also involves maintaining clean climbing surfaces and communicating with staff and climbers about route feedback or improvements. Qualifications Proficiency in route setting, climbing technique, and creative route design Strong understanding of climbing safety protocols, equipment handling, and wall maintenance Ability to assess and grade routes for climbers of various skill levels Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a team and interact with climbers Knowledge of basic construction tools and techniques to safely set routes Physical fitness to perform manual labor and climb for route setting purposes Prior experience in a climbing gym or similar environment is a plus CPR and First Aid certification is preferred
