Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and safety-minded Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver in the Weymouth/Brockton area to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients/clients to and from their medical appointments, physical therapy, and other essential destinations. This is a rare opportunity to create your own company while working for someone else and building up your own business where you make your own hours and become your own boss.
Key Responsibilities Safe Transportation:
Safely operate your own vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.Passenger Assistance:
Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle if needed. Provide escort and assistance from the client's pickup point safely into their destination facility if necessary.Punctuality & Scheduling:
Maintain a strict adherence to schedules and timelines to ensure clients arrive on time for appointments.Vehicle Maintenance:
Car must be clean and free of any mechanical issues.Qualifications & Requirements License:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations or .Requisites:
Must be willing to create an LLC and obtain NEMT driver insurance. Car used for driving needs to be free of liens or you can transfer the lien into your LLC.Background Checks:
Ability to pass a mandatory criminal background check, regular drug/alcohol screenings, and a motor vehicle record (MVR) review.Physical Demands:
Most patients will not have mobility devices, but some will. Must be physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling clients in wheelchairs, bending, kneeling, and securing equipment in back seat or trunk.Software:
Must be able to use Google Translate or similar translation apps to communicate with clients who do not speak English.Soft Skills:
Patience, empathy, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude when working with vulnerable population y.Pay:
