Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring a comfortable and timely experience. Duties Safely operate shuttle vehicles, vans, or buses to transport patients to medical facilities, pharmacies, and other approved destinations. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met and vehicles are in optimal condition. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and passenger details in compliance with company policies and regulations. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, healthcare staff, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly. Handle heavy lifting when necessary to assist passengers with mobility aids or luggage while maintaining safety protocols. Ensure adherence to all traffic laws, safety procedures, and health guidelines during every trip. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record High school diploma or GED preferred Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle report CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Experience in transportation, healthcare, caregiving, or customer service is a plus Ability to safely assist passengers with limited mobility Strong communication and time-management skills Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and basic repairs as needed. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and customer service excellence. Physical ability to handle heavy lifting tasks and prolonged periods of driving or standing.
