In this energetic role, you will be responsible for transporting clients to various destinations ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Your positive attitude and excellent driving skills will help make each journey a pleasant experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to serve others while honing your driving expertise in a fast-paced environment. Duties Safely operate vehicles to transport clients to appointments, community events, or other destinations. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing exceptional customer service with a friendly demeanor. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and proper functioning of transportation equipment. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps, adhering to schedules and traffic laws to ensure timely arrivals. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and any route adjustments. Handle heavy lifting when necessary for securing mobility devices or assisting passengers with special needs. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and vehicle condition reports for compliance and safety records. Qualifications Proven experience in delivery driving, bus driving, or similar roles such as limousine or school bus driving. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred but not mandatory depending on vehicle type. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting passengers or handling equipment. Prior experience in paratransit or specialized transportation services is a plus.
