Job Summary:

Requirements:

At least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license (CDL not required) Clean driving record - no accidents or major violations within the last three years Must pass DOT physical exam, drug test (includes marijuana), & background check upon hire Maneuver up to 100 pounds Handle oversized packages up to 150 pounds with use of a hand truck Safe driving skills in all weather conditions Work outside in all weather conditions Own and operate a smart phone to utilize job-applicable technology and applications

Preferred:

One-year verifiable professional driving experience within the last three years (or five years' experience within the last 10 years)

Duties:

Conduct pre/post vehicle inspections daily Load and Organize vehicle prior to departure based on pre-assigned delivery area Pickup & Deliver packages to business & residential customers within prescribed time windows Learn the route(s) and customer needs serviced by High Desert Delivery, and abide by FedEx Ground customer service protocol Handle and maneuver packages without damage, and without injury to self or others Operate vehicles and equipment safely and securely

Hours:

40 hours / week Monday - Friday Saturday hours available during peak seasons

Compensation:

$23.00 / hour starting pay, paid training provided $250 bonus if hired from another FedEx location Discretionary bonuses for outstanding performance Overtime available (1.5x) after 40 hours (full time) Paid time off (PTO) Opportunity to advance in leadership and supervisory positions
