The Non-Emergency Patient Transport Specialist is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients to and from healthcare facilities and their homes. This role involves providing direct patient care assistance, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the transport vehicle, and adhering to all safety regulations.Job Tasks:
Patient Transportation:
Safely transport patients using a wheelchair, stretcher chair or on foot. Assist patients in entering and exiting the vehicle. Ensure patient comfort and safety during transport.Direct Patient Care:
Provide basic patient care assistance, such as helping with transfers, and positioning. Monitor patient condition and report any changes to appropriate staff.Vehicle Maintenance:
Keep the transport vehicle clean, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Inspect the vehicle for mechanical issues and report any problems to maintenance.Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Follow company policies and procedures for patient transportation.Customer Service:
Represents the values of Ride N' Safe Mobility Transport, LLC while in the community. Provide excellent customer service to patients, their families, and facility staff. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.Qualifications:
Must possess a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of licensed driving history, have a clean driving record and maintain current class C driver's license. Must be 23 years of age(for insurance purposes) Experience in providing direct patient care, preferably in a healthcare setting. Ability to push, and pull up to 450 pounds. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willing to travel to all counties served.Additional Requirements:
Will need to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle background check.Physical Demands:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting. Ability to sit for extended periods (while driving). Ability to work in various weather conditions.Work Environment:
Primarily work in a driving environment, with exposure to healthcare facilities. May be exposed to contagious diseases and bodily fluids. PPE providedJob Type:
