Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver (1099 Contractor)

Independent Contractor Schedule:
Flexible but must make 30 trips a month — you choose your availability Position Overview Medlift is seeking dependable, compassionate, and professional drivers to join our team as Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers . In this independent contractor role, you will use your own personal vehicle to safely transport clients to and from medical appointments and other essential destinations. This is a 1099 contractor position — you are your own boss . You set your schedule, determine your availability, and your earnings are based on how many trips you complete. As a 1099
Independent Contractor, You:
Choose your own schedule Use your personal, reliable, low-profile vehicle (no trucks or high-profile vehicles) Are responsible for your own taxes (W-9 required) Do not receive employee benefits (e.g., health insurance, PTO) Operate independently — we assign trips, you decide when and how to complete them Key Responsibilities Safely transport passengers in your personal vehicle Follow all traffic laws and safety guidelines Provide courteous, professional assistance during boarding and exiting Assist passengers with loading/unloading, if needed Keep accurate trip logs (mileage, time, passenger count) Maintain communication with dispatch Clean, sanitize , and organize your vehicle regularly Report any incidents, delays, or issues promptly Requirements Use of your own reliable, low-profile vehicle Current vehicle registration and full coverage insurance Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record Ability to pass the following: National background check Sex offender registry check Drug screening Certification screenings Ability to lift and assist passengers with mobility challenges Strong interpersonal and communication skills Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated What We Offer Bi-Weekly pay Unlimited earning potential — earn based on trips completed The chance to make a positive impact in your community
