Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles including shuttle vans, paratransit vehicles, and commercial transport vans to transport patients and medical staff. Assist passengers with mobility needs, including loading and unloading heavy or specialized equipment, ensuring safety at all times. Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation routes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly. Ensure proper documentation of trips, including logs of mileage, passenger details, and incident reports if necessary. Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and clear communication throughout each trip. Skills Proven experience as a shuttle driver, delivery driver, bus driver, or similar role involving commercial driving or passenger transportation. Strong driving skills with a valid driver's license or equivalent; experience with limousine or school bus driving is a plus. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare staff, and team members. Ability to handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers or moving equipment safely. Experience in paratransit services or heavy-duty vehicle operation preferred. Demonstrated reliability with punctuality and adherence to schedules; ability to remain calm under pressure.
