Motor Vehicle Operor Nional Archives and Records Administrion Summary This position is part of the Nional Archives and Records Administrion, Operions DC, Washington Nional Records Center. The incumbent operes a truck with a gross vehicle weight of over 22,000 pounds, to transport federal records and other cargo between Federal agencies and Congress. This may include occasionally opering a passenger vehicle such as a car or van and using equipment to load, unload and move cargo within a facility. All approprie licenses are required. Duties Help As a Motor Vehicle Operor, you will: Opere government vehicles to transport records, equipment, and merials between agency locions while ensuring the safe handling and security of all items, including classified and sensitive records. Perform record operions support work reled to reference requests, accessions, relocions, transshipments, refiles, interfiles, shelving and records disposition activities to support agency and customer service needs. Load, unload, move and stage records and merials using proper merial handling and safety procedures to prevent damage, loss, and misfiling of records. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, identify maintenance concerns, and ensure assigned vehicles and equipment are opered safely and maintained in serviceable condition.
