Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Furniture Mover to join our team. This role involves assisting customers with residential moves, safely handling household furniture and belongings, and ensuring items are loaded, transported, and unloaded efficiently. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent service while treating customer property with care and respect. Key Responsibilities Load, unload, carry, and position furniture and household items during residential moves. Protect furniture and belongings using moving blankets, stretch wrap, and other packing materials. Organize and arrange items inside moving trucks to maximize space and promote safe transportation. Use straps and securing equipment to help keep items stable while in transit. Inspect furniture and household goods before and after handling and report any damages or concerns. Assist with packing, unpacking, furniture placement, and other moving-related tasks as needed. Follow company safety procedures and proper lifting techniques at all times. Complete additional duties assigned by supervisors or management. Qualifications Previous experience in residential moving, furniture handling, general labor, logistics, or a related field is preferred. Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move items weighing 75 pounds or more. Knowledge of safe lifting practices, furniture protection methods, and proper loading techniques. Strong attention to detail and commitment to handling customer belongings carefully and professionally. Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. A valid driver's license is preferred but not required.
