Mover/Packer 1345 East Taylor Street, San Jose, CA 95133 From $21 an hour - Full-time From $21 an hour - Full-time Overview Join our dynamic team as a Mover/Packer and become a vital part of delivering exceptional moving and packing services! This energetic role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive on physical activity, enjoy helping others, and take pride in ensuring smooth, efficient relocations. As a Mover/Packer, you will be responsible for safely handling customer belongings, packing items securely, and assisting with loading and unloading trucks to ensure timely deliveries. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will contribute to a seamless moving experience for our clients. Duties Safely load and unload household or commercial items using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary Pack items securely using appropriate packing materials to prevent damage during transit Assist with disassembly and reassembly of furniture and appliances as needed Operate box trucks or commercial vehicles with automatic transmission for local route driving and deliveries Ensure all items are handled with care, maintaining customer satisfaction through excellent service Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and moving equipment Load and unload trucks efficiently, following safety protocols and route instructions to meet delivery schedules Qualifications Previous warehouse experience or moving industry background preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods Experience with driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles, including route driving and delivery driver experience Familiarity with forklift operation, pallet jacks, or manual handling equipment is a plus Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during moves Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to follow safety procedures, work efficiently under pressure, and adapt to changing schedules Embark on an active career where your effort makes a real difference!
