This small local company is looking for a team player, motivated, punctual, with problem solving and excellent customer service skills. This role starts at $18 per hour, and can be increased depending on skill set and ability. We offer a flexible schedule, mostly during the week. And on a rare occasion require a few hours at the weekend. You MUST be able to drive, HAVE experience of driving a 26' box truck and HAVE a clean driving license. You will need to be physically able to load and unload furniture on the box-truck for delivery to & from customer's properties and the store. All items (furniture & accessories) need to be treated with a 'white glove service ' when being moved, stored, prepped for stages or a customer's property. The position also involves working in the warehouse to accept & unbox deliveries, putting together furniture as well as being able to occasionally help customers with their pickups or deliveries. During down time there are activities in the store that you will be required to complete. Employees are required to be appropriately dressed, be punctual , respectful to customers & other staff. No smoking or vaping is allowed in the truck, whilst loading or unloading or at a customer's property, etc. Summary of Key Responsibilities

• Drive the store's 26' box truck to and from properties.
• Loading & unloading furniture on the truck to properties and the store/warehouse .
• Taking care to treat all items with care and respect. When working with stagers, follow their directions on where to place items, plus ensuring all items are dust-free and in good repair.
• Moves and assists in moving merchandise such as furniture, décor, and store equipment in the store/warehouse and at clients' homes.
• Connects with customers to meet and exceed their needs to create a great experience.
• Maintains punctual attendance and communicates issues to the manager promptly.

MUST HAVE SKILLS

• Ability to drive a 26' box truck; with at least a year of driving a box truck.
• Experience of loading and moving furniture
• Physically able to lift 70lbs or more
• Excellent customer service skills
• Effective oral communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Appropriate work clothes
• Able to 'think outside of the box'

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
