Job Details:

M.K. Mover employees work as a team to provide the best possible experience and overall customer service. You will be asked to pay attention to detail at all times. As a lead foreman you will need to have the ability to be in charge of a one to six gentlemen crew and direct fellow employee's respectfully. The daily job will require you to load household goods or office equipment onto trucks, transport it to a new location, and then unload it. You may move as few as one or two items or as much as the contents of an entire house or office. As an M.K. Movers employee you must pay attention to detail and strive to transport items without damage. When necessary, you will be asked to disassemble furniture, such as beds, so it fits through doorways or into an elevator. M.K. Movers is open 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday. You may be asked to work holidays when necessary. We are closed Memorial Day, the 4th and 5th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after, New Years Eve and New Years Day. Our employees work in a variety of locations and travel between cities and states. •We are looking for people that are clean cut, professional, hardworking, self-motivated, and reliable.•

Requirements:

Previous moving experience strongly preferred High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent customer service skills. Professional attitude and demeanor. Experience in the fields of general labor, landscaping, construction or warehouse helpful. Strong logic and mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of dollars, weight measurement, volume, distance and time). Stamina to lift heavy items (100 lbs or more) repeatedly while climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc. Good hand-eye coordination. Valid drivers license and good driving record. C Class driving license Starting, you will be between 20-40 hours, once summer is in full season, hours will range from 40-60. Be hard working, detail oriented, a team player, and reliable.

Compensation:

Hourly rate is will be determined based upon experience. Those candidates that are hired as Lead Foreman can expect compensation to start at $18.50 - $20.50 an hour plus gratuity. Upon completion of 90 days and no disciplinary action, there can be a discussion for a small increase. After 90 days you will be eligible for benefits including health, dental, and vision as well as PTO. After one year of employment, you will be able to take advantage of our 401K program with company match as well. Candidates who already have acquired a C-Class driving license may be entitled to additional pay. •
