This role involves assisting with the loading, unloading, and transportation of goods and furniture for residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and experience with various moving equipment. This position offers an engaging work environment with opportunities to develop skills in logistics and transportation. Responsibilities Safely load and unload furniture, boxes, and equipment using appropriate lifting techniques and tools such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts Assist clients with moving items in a professional and courteous manner Operate commercial vehicles, including box trucks and drivers, to transport goods between locations Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to safety regulations Use manual transmission vehicles when required for route driving Load and secure items properly to prevent damage during transit Maintain cleanliness and organization of moving equipment and vehicles Assist with warehouse activities such as inventory management and storage organization when needed Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients throughout the moving process Requirements Prior experience in moving, warehouse work, or delivery driving is preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving or driver experience is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more) Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment is advantageous Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude Knowledge of route driving and delivery procedures Ability to work physically demanding shifts that may include manual labor and long periods of standing or walking Reliable transportation to job sites and flexibility to handle varying schedules Must be able to pass background checks and any required drug screenings This position is vital for ensuring smooth operations during client moves while providing excellent service.
