Experienced Mover

Please Read Before Applying This position is for experienced professional household goods movers only. Applicants must have at least 1 year of paid experience working for a licensed moving company, performing residential moves and operating moving trucks. General labor, warehouse, delivery, landscaping, or construction experience does not qualify. This is not an entry-level role, and training assumes prior moving experience. We are building a small, dependable team that values professionalism, clear communication, and accountability. About the Role We are hiring an Experienced Mover to join our crew. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that requires physical work, driving company vehicles when assigned, and consistent use of company systems. You will represent Box and Roll Moving professionally on job sites and work directly with clients to ensure each move is completed safely and efficiently. This role offers a clear path to Crew Lead for the right candidate. Responsibilities Load, transport, and unload household furniture, boxes, and specialty items Properly pad, wrap, and protect items using company procedures Drive and operate a 16-18 ft box truck safely and responsibly when assigned Coordinate with and assist a crew of 1-3 movers on job sites Communicate clearly with clients and the office regarding timing and scope Follow DOT, New York State, and company safety requirements Use company systems for scheduling, job details, and communication Requirements (Non-Negotiable) Minimum 2 years of paid household goods moving experience with a licensed moving company Experience driving and parking a 16-18 ft box truck in residential and highway settings Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a New York State DOT physical Ability to pass DOT drug testing, as required Ability to safely and repeatedly lift, carry, push, and maneuver items weighing up to 75 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation, and to move heavier items using team lifting techniques and appropriate equipment Reliable access to a working cell phone and email Willingness and ability to use company systems and tools for scheduling and communication Active bank account required for payroll (direct deposit) Professional attitude: punctual, reliable, respectful, and team-oriented Willingness to undergo a background check as part of the hiring process Preferred / Nice to Have Experience handling specialty items (pianos, antiques, oversized furniture) Ability to work occasional weekends or short-notice jobs during peak season Leadership experience or interest in advancing to Crew Lead Benefits & Compensation $23/hour during initial trial period $25/hour + tips after trial period Overtime and additional hours available during peak season Clear growth path to Crew Lead with increased pay and responsibility Why Join Box and Roll Moving?
