$20/hour + mileage
Schedule:
On-call basis (no regular hours)
Availability:
We contact team members as work becomes available and adjust schedules based on organizational project needs What does an On Call Organizing Helper do? We handle organizing projects at various locations throughout the Portland Metro area, so you must have a car to drive to job sites and a valid driver's license. You may also be asked to help with sorting, disposal of items, and recycling. There is mileage reimbursement for the use of your vehicle when appropriate. Physical Requirements This is a physical job requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Workers are expected to carry loads, move furniture and boxes, haul supplies, pack and organize items, demonstrate safety awareness, assist with setup and breakdown, clean work areas, and be willing to do whatever it takes to complete organizational projects successfully. Please do not apply if you have health issues that would keep you from performing regular lifting, moving, loading, and similar physical tasks.
Required Skills Strong Work Ethic:
Being on time, completing committed tasks, and bringing a positive, can-do attitude to work with you. Willingness to "hit the ground running": Mental readiness, attention to detail, and openness to our processes are a must.
Resourcefulness:
Things don't always go as planned. We need someone who can problem-solve and figure out solutions with support from supervisors.
Flexibility:
Essential for on-call work—availability to respond when projects come up is critical.
Reliability:
When you confirm availability for a project, we're counting on you to be there.
Strong Communication Skills:
We need to know your availability and any constraints. We're approachable, drama-free, and want to hear your ideas and ensure all workers are respected and heard.
