Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Furniture Delivery Helper! In this energetic role, you will assist with the safe and efficient delivery of furniture and large items to customers' homes or business locations. Your enthusiasm and physical stamina will help ensure each delivery is handled with care, professionalism, and a positive attitude. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where teamwork, safety, and customer satisfaction are top priorities. Responsibilities Assist the delivery driver in loading, unloading, and securing furniture and large items onto trucks using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies or four wheelers when necessary Wrapping and inspecting furniture for damage prior to loading. Load and unload items from trucks efficiently, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Help driver in installing furniture items inside of customers homes in the room of choice. Remove, break down and consolidate all trash from furniture installation. Support the driver in navigating routes and verifying delivery addresses for accuracy Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers during delivery, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction Participate in heavy lifting and moving tasks, often involving vehicles like box trucks. Maintain a clean and organized work environment at the warehouse and during deliveries Skills Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Previous warehouse experience preferred for handling inventory and equipment Experience with commercial driving, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles Valid driving license with a clean driving record; experience with driver or courier roles is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently Familiarity with forklift operation, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is advantageous Comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles and following route instructions accurately This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in active environments, enjoy working as part of a team, and take pride in delivering excellent service.
