Auction Site Technician

Job Summary We're seeking an energetic and motivated individuals to join our auction team. Auction Site Technician average 44 hours/week and are based in Williston, VT. This is a hands-on, field-based position responsible for preparing, organizing, and managing the physical location where an auction takes place. This role often involves traveling to various sites—including homes, barns, fields, and commercial or industrial facilities—to prepare assets for sale. This position involves working indoors and outdoors, in all environments, including inclement weather and heat. Weather appropriate apparel required. Responsibilities Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with consignors, buyers and team members. Skilled labor, moving, hauling, cleaning, organizing, sorting, indexing, bundling and/or boxing assets for auctions. Photographing and cataloging assets using digital point and shoot cameras & Microsoft Excel on a laptop. Moving furniture, equipment and personal property, large and small. Packing and shipping for Firearms and Sporting Related auctions. Supervising previews (Greeting potential buyers, showing them where items are and keeping an eye on merchandise) Assisting with loadouts (Greeting buyers, using supplied paperwork, showing them where items are, making sure buyers pick up all their items and leaving with only their purchased items) This position includes travel in company supplied vehicle, long hours and occasional overnights. A typical day for this position is leaving Williston at 6:30AM-7:00AM and returning between 4PM-6PM. Average week is Monday thru Thursday with 2 Fridays a month and 2-4 Saturdays a year. Qualifications High level of organization and attention to detail Self-starter and ability to work efficiently, independently and manage time effectively Ability to follow instructions, ask questions if needed, and maintain a clean and organized work area Competent typing capability (30+ WPM/Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency a plus) Valid driver's license (ability to safely drive a truck with trailer a plus) Ability to lift 25-50 pounds regularly Ability to pass a background check General Represent Thomas Hirchak company in a professional manner Advocate for and strengthen our brand Passion or interest in auction items a plus, no auction experience required
