Job Description
Donation Pickup Assistant / Truck Helper Habitat for Humanity of Mason County is seeking a reliable and hardworking Donation Pickup Assistant to ride along in our donation pickup box truck and help with the collection of donated items from homes and businesses. This position supports the driver with loading, unloading, lifting, and safely handling donated furniture, appliances, building materials, and other household items. The Donation Pickup Assistant also represents Habitat in the community and should provide friendly, respectful service to donors. Responsibilities Ride as a passenger in the donation pickup box truck Assist the driver with loading and unloading donated items Safely lift (up to 50lbs), carry, and move furniture, appliances, and other materials Help inspect items to ensure they meet donation guidelines Provide courteous and professional service to donors Keep the truck and work areas clean and organized Follow safety procedures at all times Assist with unloading donations at the Habitat Store or warehouse Qualifications Ability to lift and move heavy items, often with assistance Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Friendly and respectful customer service skills Ability to follow directions and safety guidelines Comfortable working in a physically active role Prior moving, warehouse, retail, or donation pickup experience is helpful but not required Schedule Must be able to work Tuesday -
